From Ashes to Ashes, Chapter 1

	It's almost noon as Ashe enters the camp, dragging the robot behind him.
	
	"Son of a .....!  Someone, or something has ....ed with my ...."
	In Ashe’s own colorful language, someone, or something, has destroyed his camp.  A SWATbot is lingering overhead, inactive, and caught in a snare.  Another is caught in one of his pits, also inactive.
	
	"Cool.  More spare parts.  First I need a new place to hide."
	As he said this, he heard footsteps in the distance.
	"...."
	Ashe jumps behind a bush, peering out.
	"A pink porcupine?"
	"Actually I'm a hedgehog Ashe."  The pink, hedgehog, replied

Ashes to Ashes, Chapter 2

	Ashes sat there in silence, asking himself, "How did she know my name?"  This question ignited many other questions in Ashe's head:  "Who is she?  Where am I?  WHAT am I?"  The questions did not seem to end.  Ashe shook his, and jumped at the pink hedgehog.  "Maybe SHE has some answers," he though

	"Who are you?  Where am I?"  Ashe repeated the series of questions that daunted his thoughts.  Then all of a sudden, the pink hedgehog kissed him on the lips.
	
	"I'm Amy, and you're cute," she replied.
	Ashe paused for a second, blushing.  "Why thank you," he replied, helping the hedgehog to her feet.  "Now, where am I?"
	"You're blushing" Amy said, brushing the dirt of her quills
	"No I'm not!"
	"Yes you are!"
	"Just answer the question!"
	"You're in the Great Forest."
	"And where on Earth is the Great Forest?"
	"What's Earth?"
	"You know, Earth, this planet I'm standing on."  Ashe paused for a second.  "I am on Earth ain't I?"
	"No, this is Mobius."
	"OK," Ashe thought, "this is great, I'm not even on Earth anymore."
	"Isn't it great,"  Amy said.
	"What?!  What's so great about it!"
	Amy didn't say a word, she just smiled.
	Ashe was cursing to himself, then he heard another set of footsteps, heavier, metallic footsteps, coming closer.  He grabbed Amy by the arm and leapt behind a bush, looking.
	
	"SWATbots!"  Amy peeped, "We'd better get Sonic."
	Ashe covered Amy's mouth, shushing her.

	"SWATbot 3PC report sir"
	"Have you found anything?"
	"A decimated camp, a two inactive SWATbots."
	"No sign of the hedgehog?"
	"No sir."
	"Very well, report back to Robotropolis, and bring the inactive SWATbots with you."
	"Yes sir."

	The robot walked away dragging the two SWATbots with them.

	"We'd have to get Sonic!"
	"We are not going anywhere!"  Ashe replied.  "Looked, they forgot one of them," Ashe pointed to the SWATbot lying inactive in the pit.
	"So?"  Amy replied.
	Ashe dragged the SWATbot up from the pit.  Using what strength he had left, he ripped the SWATbot's left arm off, the arm with the laser mounted on it.
	"What are you doing?"  Amy asked
	Ashe ignored here words, he was too busy looking for some sort of trigger to the arm mounted laser.  By accident, he finds the trigger.
	"AH!"  Amy said, being hit by the laser.
	"Sorry," Ashe replied, "Now we can go find your friend."

	About a half hour later in Knothole

	"YOU stole my chili dogs?!"  Sonic screamed as he leapt at Ashe.  Sonic and Ashe wrestled, and Sonic was winning.  The other Freedom Fighters heard the fighting and came outside.  Amy then leapt at Sonic.
	"YOU say off my boyfriend!" She screamed
	Ashe got up, exhausted.  "I'm not your boyfriend," he replied.  Sally got behind Ashe and pushed him to the ground, stepping on his chest.
	"So who are you?" Sally asked
	"I think he'z a spy!" Antoine remarked
	".... you" Ashe said to Antoine, spitting in his general direction
	"Watch your language hedgehog!"  Sally said
	Sonic and Amy looked at each other.  In unison they remarked, "We didn't say anything"
	"Not you, him!"
	"So I'm a hedgehog, great," Ashe remarked sarcastically
	"Now, who are you?"
	"The name's Ashe"
	"Well Ashe," Sally said, letting her foot off him, " how did you get here?"
	Ashe got up, hard of breathing, he replied "I don't know.  Big storm, got knocked out.  Now I'm in hell"
	
	Tails and Bunny's eyes widened; they did see something that night.

	"A likely story," said Antoine, "I still think he'z a spy!"
	"Listen, whatever you are, ain't no ....ing spy!"  Ashe tumbled over and grabs his makeshift gun and points it at Antoine.  Sonic smacks the gun out of Ashe hand.
	
	"Mother....er!"  Ashe screams in pain (Sonic happened to smack the gun out of Ashe's right, broken, hand.)  Ashe and Sonic duke it out, Ashe lands a clean left to Sonic's jaw, knocking him out.  Ashe walks over and picks up his gun, pointing it at the Freedom Fighters.

	"OK, listen, I just want to go home and you people are going help me get there, GOT IT!"
	
	As Ashe takes in a long breath, he feels a shock go up his spine.  Rotor nailed him with a stun gun.
	
	"Rotor, Antoine, get blue boy and the new guy and put them in Sonic's room;  I have some work to do," said Sally.

	About two hours later, Sonic regained conscience.  He turns over, and sees Ashe, who is still out cold.

	"YOU!"  Sonic screamed.  Sonic held Ashe down as started to punch him repeated in the face.  Quickly, Ashe regained conscience, and is quite angry.  Quickly the tables turn in Ashe's favor.  Sonic is beaten badly.

	"OK, you win, now, GET OUT OF MY ROOM!," Sonic screams
	"SONIC HEDGEHOG, FRONT AND CENTER!"
	Sonic ran over to Sally, and amused military position.
	"At ease."
	Sonic collapses onto the floor.
	"Ashe, come with me."

	Sally and Ashe walk outside.

	"Nicole, activate Robotroplis link."
	"Activating Sally"
	"Ashe, I want to show you something."
	"What?" Said Ashe.
	"Look at this"  Sally shows Ashe the data Nicole has found
	"So?"
	"So, this is why your here.  Robotnick has been working the bugs out of one of his toys.  He's been keeping a record of certain strange occurrences as a result of these bugs."
	"So what is this toy?"
	"I'm not sure, Nicole hasn't yet decrypted all the data, but you can bet if you want to get home, you'll have to go though Robotnick."
	"Who's Robotnick"
	"A tyrant."  

	Sally went on about the fall of the House of Acorn and Robotnick's rule over Mobius.

	"So that robot I trashed it’s," Ashe paused, "alive?"
	"No," replied Sally, "Not all of them anyway, the majority of SWATbots are fully mechanical"
	"So," Ashe said, "where do we start?"
	"WE are not starting anything," Sally replied "Me and Sonic on the other hand are making a run to Robotroplis tonight, possibly we'll find more answers and be able to send you home"
	"WHAT?!  Listen lady, I don't have time to sit still and smell the flowers;  I'm coming with you"
	"NO YOU'RE NOT!" screamed Sally.  "YOU'RE STAYING RIGHT HERE!"
	
	Ashe just stood there silently, somewhat shaken.
	
	An hour later, Ashe has been relocated to Tails' room.  Bunny Rabbot is bandaging his broken hand.
	
	"There, said Bunny, "all betta' now"
	"Thanks"
	"Now you betta' get some rest now."
	"Like hell I will," Ashe remarked, making his way to the door.  Bunny grabs him with her metallic arm
	"Now where da ya think you're goin' sugah'?"  Bunny tosses Ashe on the bed prepared for him.  "Sally said you'll be going nowhere tonight.  Now you just get some rest now.  An' don't try any funny stuff;  I'll be watchin' you"
	"Great, just great, I'm being baby-sat by robo-rabbit"
	Tails, who is in the bed next to Ashe, giggles.
	"And what's so funny?" remarked Ashe
	Tails stopped giggling.
	"Nothing" he replies.

	Next morning

	"Ashe is missing!"
