A small team of Freedom Fighters were on Angel Island to retrieve the Master Emerals which Knuckles has hidden. Among them were Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles, Gamma, Tails, Iggy, Claw, Charmy, Metal Sonic, and Silver Sonic. The ten of them would've been able to take on Fnag and Zero. But there was an entire army of swatbots somewhere on this huge floating island. The team of Freedom Fighters, led by Knuckles was still in the forest part of Angel Island. "So," said Claw. "Where's this Master Emerald that you talk about?" "We're colse to the cave," said Knuckles. "I'm getting tired," said Iggy. "Isn't there a stream close by?" asked Charmy. "Yes," said Knuckles. "We'll stop and take a quick brake when we get there." A few minutes later, they all reached a rocky creek surrounded by trees. "This is it," said Knuckles. "Good," said Claw. "Cuz I'm starving." Claw went a few feet down stream to go fishing. The three robots stayed where they were. They couldn't get wet or they would rust. Or even worse, the water would slip through thier frame and would make them short-ciruit. Tails and Iggy just flew around and played. Charmy went by some nearby trees to get some fruit. Sonic just sat on one of the rocks in the river to look at the sun set. Knuckles saw him and jumped from rock to rock until he got up to Sonic. "What's wrong?" asked Knuckles. "Oh, it's nothing," said Sonic. "I just wonder sometimes. If me and Tails never went into Robotropolis in the first place, do you think that I would be in this jam?" "Well," said Knuckles. "I for one am glad you went there. You really helped me out. And you helped out this rebelion of Freedom Fighters. I know that Shadow knew that Robotnik would get rid of him after he took over. But if he hadn't met you, he would've just used the emerald's power to defeat Robotnik, and become just like him. And because you had the courage to go and look for Rotor, we turned out to get some of Robotnik's most powerful robots." "Speaking of robots," said a voice. Sonic and Knuckles turned around. They saw Fang on a rock behind them. "You should expect some robot's coming here right about... now!" Just then, Zero came. He was also followed by five shark bots underwater. "Hehe!" said Fang. "Once these guys finish you off, I will get the Master Emerald. And as a reward, Robotnik will retrieve the seven Chaos Emeralds and bring me to my ultimate form." Fang saw everyone else in Sonic's group. Sonic noticed this. "Metal Sonic, Silver Sonic, Gamma!" yelled Sonic. "Hide everone while I try to lose these guys." Metal Sonic and Silver Sonic grabbed Gamma's arms and flew him about twenty feet into the air. Then Gamma used his hove unit to hover across the river. They took Tails, Iggy, Charmy, and Claw into the trees. Claw wanted a piece of the action but knew that Sonic could handle it. Sonic dashed away and Zero and the shark bots followed. Sonic ran so fast, the he was able to run on the water. Fang left the area without anyone noticeing. Knuckles was a fast runner, but he couldn't run as fast as Sonic and couldn't keep up. Zero was floating above the water. Sonic eventually outran him. THe shark bots however weree able to keep up with him. Sonic couldn't attack them because they were under water. He knew that if he stayed in the water, the Shark Bots would get him. Sonic just went out of the water where the shark bots couldn't get him. But he knew that they would come back with reinforcements.Shadow then appeared running on the water. Shaodow was able to run as fast as Sonic with his special shoes. Shadow also couldn't stop them. If he swam under the water, he knew that he wouldn't stand a chance against them. Shadow left the water and stood next to Sonic. "What are we gonna do?" asked Shadow? They'll call in all the swatbots on the Island." The shark bots were already way ahead of Sonci and Shadow. They then saw Metal Sonic and Silver Sonci fly by. They zoomed right past Sonic and Shadow and headed up the river. "We'll take care of this," said Metal Sonic as he looked back. Metal Sonic and Silver Sonic  each launched a missle into the water. When the missles hit the water, the entire creek lit up with elecricity. Metal and Silver went back to Sonic and Shadow and landed. "Nothing could survive that," said Silver Sonic. "You see that?" said Metal Sonic. "We're always ready for anything." Sonic and Shadow just smiled. "Come on," said Shadow. "We have to go back to Knuckles." Sonic, Shadow, Metal, and Silver dashed at full sped back to Knuckles and the rest. The four of them got back to see Knuckles and co. waiting for them. "We thought you'd need help," said Tails. "So we sent Metal Sonic and Silver Sonic." "So," said Claw. "How did it go?" "We took care of everything," said Sonic. "But you better take us to the Master Emerald before half the Eggman Empire comes here." "Follow me," said Knuckles. Everyone was close to the mountain at the center of the island. Knuckles took them to a small opening in the mountain. "Follow me into this cave," said Knuckles. "Charmy, if anything happens to me, I want you to lead them to the Master Emerald. You're the only one here that knows where it is." "Sure thing," said Charmy. Knuckles lead them into a cave. They went very far. It was dark, but Gamma, Metal SOnic, and Silver Sonic were able to light up the place a bit. And the three of them were programed for nightvision. And Knuckles was able to see in the dark. So was Shadow. But the rest had a little trouble seeing. Suddenly, Sonic heard a gunshot. Everyone ducked. "What was that?" asked Iggy. Then they heard it again. Silver Sonic used his eyes as flashlights. He turned around to see Fang, Zero, E-103 Delta(blue), and E-104 Epsilon(orange). Behind them was a team of about thirty swatbots. "Shit!" yelled Shadow. "Robotnik must've rebuilt Delta and Epsilon." Delta and Epsilon dashed over to Tails in rolling mode and tried to grab him, but Metal Sonic shot a few bullets at them which made them let go. "Looks like they're faster," said Sonic. "Let's get the hell outta here!" exclaimed Claw. Everyone ran for their lives, but Zero, Fang, and all the others closely followed. They were way outnumbered. The only way for them to get outta there alive is to find the Master Emerald and Chaos. Sonic, Shadow, Metal, and Silver were able to outrun anyone easily, but they kept up with everyone else to make sure that they were okay. Knuckles led the group far. They were deep under the Island. Metal Sonic ran ahead of everyone when he reached a small opening in the tunnel. That's when he saw it. The Master Emerald, which lit up the opening. "I found the Master Emerald," said Metal Sonic. "Hurry!" Soon Knuckles ran into the room. Followed by Iggy and Tails. The group got to the emerald with the team of Robotnik's army at thier tails. Gamma fired a missle at the ceiling of the small opening which caused some rocks to drop which covered the entrance to the opening. "Nice going," said Charmy to Gamma. "That should hold em' for a while."   "This is it," said Knuckles. "Chaos, guardian of the seas, I release you from the Master Emerald which you were sealed in." The Master Emerald lit up. It released a blinding light, and everyone heard a laod roar. The light went away. Everyone opened their eyes.
